BBC Bitesize is the biggest digital learning site in the UK, providing learning and revision materials for schoolchildren of all ages. Monterosa have worked on a number of projects with Bitesize over the years, so we were familiar with the site when the Bitesize team approached us with a problem to solve.

Gut Instinct was one of a series of realtime multi-player games created for the BBC's education strand Bitesize. It's served millions of gameplays over several years and is still in active service. There isn't a full case study for this project, but you can click here to play Gut Instinct.

Run! was a 4-week national event on CBBC aimed at kids 6-12; a hybrid of animation, story-telling, real-world activity and live online gaming. It was a groundbreaking success which proved how television and social online gaming can work seamlessly to achieve massive levels of engagement. Run! is a story about everyday kids turned freerunning superheroes and their adversary, the giant blubber-ball "Orwell": ultimate hacker and killjoy couch potato. Orwell's objective? To remodel the nation in his own lazy image and stop anything resembling physical activity.
