The BBC approached Monterosa to undertake a research and development project looking at new ways of delivering local information to users of BBC web services. The brief was to build a site that worked on Google Gears enabled devices including new to market mobile handsets. The site was to deliver location-based information initially from two BBC web services, but be expandable to further services in the future.
